The College of Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position of Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering. This position is a nine-month appointment starting no later than August 15, 2015. This position will be responsible for delivering instruction and maintaining a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the profession. The Assistant Professor will work with other College faculty to develop and offer both courses and curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels that meet University, industry, and accreditation requirements and needs. This position will be 75% teaching and 25% research. The faculty member will make significant contributions in structural engineering and other possible areas related to sustainable materials, utilization of waste products, new designs including re-cycled materials, or life-cycle performance. Earned doctorate in Civil Engineering.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
