JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

High School graduate and completion of medical terminology and/or coding classes in ICD-9-CM and CPT 4 coding systems.

Experience

Requires three years inpatient coding experience in a hospital setting to include knowledge of DRG assignments. Ability to code other types of records as needed and understand and keep current with coding changes and regulations from various accrediting agencies and third party payers. Ability to interact well with physicians, physician offices, Business Office personnel, etc. to obtain appropriate information needed to assign DRGs.

Physical

Normal hospital environment. Close eye work and hearing within normal range. Oral communication. Operates computer, printer, fax and copier. Long periods of sitting. Occasional walking, bending, and climbing. May lift and carry up to 5 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
