JOB REQUIREMENTS Education High school diploma or GEDExperienceMinimum of one-year experience in customer service setting, preferably six months receptionist experience in health care setting and experience with office equipmentAbility to work independently of others and exercise good judgment.

Normal office environmentClose eye work, vision must be corrected to 20/20Hearing of normal & soft tonesSitting for 7-8 hours/dayRequired to stand, walk, use fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, controlsRequires hand-eye coordination and finger dexterityReach with hands and armsLifting and carrying up to 50 poundsMay be exposed to airborne particlesMust be able to view computer screens for long periodsOccasional stress related to workload and customers with problems.
JOB SUMMARY Greet patients and arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of patientsEnsures that accurate patient and insurance information is collected and that patients are made aware of clinic policies and proceduresAnswers telephone, answers billing questions from patientsProcesses medical records request, information requests and general patient account functionsWorks with and has access to confidential patient informationPosition requires making frequent decisions or actions following general procedures often without clearly defined precedentsPosition requires a high degree of mental alertness and close visual attention to detailsPosition requires diplomacy and a professional image and manner in dealing with patients, families, visitors, and clinic personnelPatient Service Representative is responsible for a positive first impression of clinic personnel as the initial point of service contact for clinic customersThis position has high contact with patients, employees and physiciansAttendance is an essential function of this job.
